Dozens of pro-Beijing, pro-democracy and Falun Gong activists faced off outside the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on Wednesday. Police officers separated the groups as China’s No. 3 politician Zhang Dejiang attended a banquet hosted by the government in his honour.
