Two young tourists from Germany were attacked and robbed in Tsim Sha Tsui early Monday morning.
Three to four males perpetrators assaulted the victims, aged 28 and 29, after they exited a taxi outside the Sheraton Hotel on 20 Nathan Road, police told HKFP.
The attackers took a wallet, an iPhone 4s, HK$300 in cash and a bag with three new shirts in it, police said.
The victims were treated for injuries in their eyes, arm, face and hand. One remains in hospital while the other has been discharged.
According to local newspaper Oriental Daily, the tourists chased the robbers after they fled but could not catch up with them. A passer-by called the police at around 5:00am.
No arrests have yet been made.
